2024 Marquette Golden Eagles Basketball
Big East basketball has not been as friendly to the Marquette Golden Eagles recently as in years past. The 2013 - 14 season drew into question the decisions of head coach Buzz Williams, and Steve Wojciechowski has taken over in 2014. The Al McGuire Years of Marquette Basketball
Marquette suffered only one losing season under head coach Eddie Hickey. The team was known as the Warriors then, and they went 5 - 21 during the 1963 - 64 season. That was enough to spell Hickey's doom, and Al McGuire was lured away from Belmont Abbey College as the new head coach.

He played for the school 4 years, starting as a true freshman. Ellis is one of only 2 players from Marquette to record 1,000 rebounds and is 6th all-time in scoring with 1,663 points.
